I have no respect for Kathy griffin, but if the censorship was because of a leftist idea, I have to agree with you.

On the other hand, if the suspension was due to failure to abide by posted guidelines (threats, incitement to do harm, etc… ), then this would appear to be just another example of the left sucking others into a false narrative.

Edited: Oops, I just reviewed the Washington Examiner article, and it appears the reason for the suspension was that she was in violation of the site’s new policy prohibiting users from impersonating others without using a “parody” tag. I asked myself why it matters if she says she represents herself as somebody she is not. That was easy to answer. While I was in the military, if somebody pretended to be somebody like a general officer when they weren’t, they could do some jail time for it. I’m pretty sure the same thing could happen if somebody tried to pass themselves off as an cop or a high ranking official or even an ordinary Joe, like when somebody steals your identity. They seek to gain from doing you harm.

That being the case, I have to say this might have been a case of justifiable suspension at least if it is only a suspension for a limited time until she can remedy the situation (do away with the stolen identity credentials, and admit publicly that it was her and not the person whose identity she was stealing that made her comments. ) I would suggest that, although this was serious breach/attack, it should be temporary. We need to hear what evil people like her have to say along with serious opinions. I wouldn’t call Elon a conservative, but putting those words in his mouth could do him (and the country as a whole) serious harm, but if she were to say those words as being her own words, that speech should be protected.
