I went to a combination of over the air and MythTV for DVR. It takes some maintenance but, I'm a computer geek. It gets me between 30 and 40 channels. Netflix and Amazon for streaming. It saves me about $100 a month. I've been doing it for about 3 years now. Over that time, I've spent maybe $500 for gear and replacement gear. It's been a good deal.
