Obviously you live near a commercial airport, or near a Very high frequency Omnidirectional Range (VOR), which is an airliner beacon, so you have a lot of airline flight over your location.

On a day when the dew point is close to the temperature, condensation trails (contrails) happen and remain. I have seen the same when DC6s flew overhead in the 50s. Jet engines produce mostly water vapor as a result of combustion, just like cars. So when the dew point is close to the temperature, jet engine exhaust immediately condenses into a vapor trail - basically the same as a cloud, but the water vapor comes from an engine.

On a low dew point day with relatively higher air temperatures, there will be no condensation trail. Take a picture on a high pressure day and your "evidence" disappears.

Historically, the Earth goes through cycles of much lower ocean levels than today, which are among the highest recorded in the history of the Earth, much dryer humidity in the distant past and much greater variation in the weather than in modern times.

Increased activity of the Sun every 22 years also tends to warm the Earth and increase the relative humidity. That will be happening for the next 3-4 years, and later again subside to a more normal pattern, and contrails will be less obvious.

Concluding those are from something else is not rational. And I have little respect for those who seem to intend to frighten others with vague conspiracies. Fear only disables our rational abilities, and can often cause us to be coerced into poor choices. The way to stand up to tyranny is with informed courage.

And focusing on vague conspiracies when the elephant in the room is the anti-Constitutionalists in our faces, threatening the First and Second Amendments daily?
