I remember 50 years ago when there was a small craze of teenage girls who thought they were lesbians. People laughed at them because it seemed absurd. Very few people saw the connection between the sexual revolution and anti social behavior and mental aberrations.

What conquered American life was immorality and it started a long time ago. Prohibition was the real turning point. The road to hell is paved with good intentions turns out to be true. More than anything else Prohibition corrupted many institution, including government at every level, and most segments of the population. Prohibition itself is directly tied to female suffrage. Female suffrage would lead to "feminism" and the destruction of traditional family structures. If we had had a moral population Prohibition would never have been enacted. Female suffrage would not have led to Feminism. The sexual revoluton would not have happened and Trans people would have been treated with dignity. If we had had a moral population slavery would never have existed and there would have been no civil war. The system of division of power between the Federal and State governments would have remained in place and the Federal Government would have remained restrained.

To be fair immorality has always been with us and is more difficult to define than most people think. I like to break it down into public and private morality. Private morality has a great deal of influence on public morality but there are always conflicts. For example murder is always wrong but what about wars, especially collateral damage? It is somewhat easy to see how private morality effect public morality but it's often difficult to see how public morality effects private morality. For example the relationship between welfare and family structure. Another example is legal but unethical business practices.

More than anything else the harm done by the cultural revolution is related to the difficulty of having a discussion about morality. That is especially true since the dominate philosophies are now oriented towards determinism. For example "toxic masculinity" is an immutable characteristic and by definition excludes freewill as a solution. If the way people behave is predetermined then the obvious conclusion is that if they are problematic they have to be removed from the population. It's ironically how the anti-fascists have become the fascists. Why feminazi is an accurate philosophical description.
