What is the allure of the socialist ideology to the youth of the West?
I believe it is a mixture of privilege and guilt.
Most of the youth in the West have a very good and easy life. And a few do not.
Buying into socialist propaganda gives these advantaged young people the feeling of being moral. Demonstrating a willingness to "share" their abundance with the "have nots".
What they fail to realize is that the very notion of socialism is morally corrupt.
It is immoral to take from one to give to another. I may choose to give, I may choose to not give.
But when I'm forced by threat of arms to surrender my property in some vain attempt at altruism I am being aggressed upon and robbed of my labor.
This is the message that young people must hear.
Your morality ends at my rights.

That old bait should be tarred and feathered after the next botox treatment.

Naw, they are not that altruistic unless it is to be cool. If you read the literature of what went on in the 60's with the radical left, most came to the conclusion that most of the youth were not really aware of any real issues except to wear bell bottoms and flash the peace sign. Writers even termed it "Radical Chic" which means just a faddish trend to be cool. Most were just spoiled middle class kids that did not want to fight in a war because they were cowards. They used the total BS that they were Anti-War as an excuse. It is not that different today. In fact I have known some youth that idolize the 60's. One even got pretty high up in politics. They have no real altruism, many of them, except to go along with the crowd and get laid, just like 1969.
