Would sources be arrested for innocently answering questions a representative may have when researching an issue? How would representatives verify the claims of their constituents without harming others?? You see, you would have to establish intent, and that is why conspiracy is so hard to prove, and rarely prosecuted.
@TimTuolomne No intent needed. If you lobby a politician as part of a lobby organization you break the law. What is occuring now is theft of taxpayer money and changing of our laws by whoever spends the most on lobby groups. It has to change and the change has to be meaningful.
