It is an unfortunate consequence of our Western World that few people - including Mr. Trump - know how to always take the high road.

We disagree on that about the President. Three years of Democrats looking for smoke to prove fire tells me all I need to know about the man. I had my doubts before. There is no one I know, including myself, who could have withstood such a withering examination without something turning up. I think Donald Trump is a far better man than I ever suspected, and maybe the best man alive in our time. I am not at all worried that he does not have someone sanitizing his honest appraisals, even though they may be a bit rough. His character is what counts to me.

@TimTuolomne I agree with much of what you say about Trump, he may indeed be the best man to disturb the status quo, however, he like many others do not take the high road very often.

@ScottforKing, Again we disagree. Not everything he does is evident. He is a very good poker player. One must be capable of deception to win in poker. And in real life the game is with incredibly malevolent people. To quote Jordan Peterson, hopefully correctly: “A good man is a very dangerous man who has it under voluntary control. A passive man is not a good man.” - Dr. Jordan Peterson.

@TimTuolomne Please don't misunderstand me, I think that Trump is the right man for the job right now. There is much I like about what he is doing, especially his foreign policies and his views about taking care of the working man. However, he rarely if ever takes the high road. Taking the high road does not mean you are a wimp.

@ScottforKing. We still disagree. I think he has taken the high road in all of his actions. About his figures of speech, we do agree, however I count that as appropriate for these uncivil times.

Those were supposed to be people who care about minimizing the spread of disease and have compassion for the sick, and yet they would wish something so disgusting on others, appalling to say the least. Good, they needed to face discipline over that.
