Is the UK finding itself? Maybe this lockdown has done some good after all.

What do you see?

FIRST POINT - DO NOT ARGUE WITH THE POLICE!!! (Its simply pointless ... most of the time they have NO IDEA what they are doing)

In the USA we have a similar set of circumstances although I am not sure whether we have a similar set of remedies ... and I’m pretty familiar with our laws both Federal and State.
In my case, if I am to be issued such a summons I will check the “Not Guilty” box and ignore any further contact until they come to “get” me.
At which point I will turn any hearing into forcing them to PROVE that I have broken any legitimate law and begin a countersuit against them for violating (severally) MY Constitutionally Guaranteed Rights.

all well and good - and I likewise handle citations the same way. but - if you decide to challenge in court you need a warehouse full of money it will take to cover legal expenses.

@iThink
That depends on whether you can much of your own legal heavy lifting ...
I’m pretty good with a little bit of help from a counselor (to keep the court honest)

@Bay0Wulf good luck with that

@iThink
Thanks. I’ve done pretty well with it over the years.
Truth is, that the place most people get beat is in the Court’s willingness to play fast and loose with Practices and Procedures themselves. Even if, as John Q. Public, you catch them and point it out they routinely yawn and proceed anyway.
I make a point to bring an attorney/counselor along to act as a referee/umpire so when the Court or Legal System plays fast and loose, I point it out and point to the Attorney and ... reset the move.
The Law is rather straightforward.
The Game itself is rather easily rigged.
Even many Attorneys have to have the infractions pointed out before they recognize one has been made.
Which is ... odd ... but nonetheless true ...
I often feel a bit like Marisa Torme pointing out to “Cousin Vinnie” the rule is “In the Book!!!” because the Attorney read the book so long ago they forgot it even has an index ...
