If we are living in a complex simulation, does it make sense that the “rules for life” are preprogrammed into humanity?

If it's all a complex simulation then why not just go off the wall and do the totally unexpected and illogical in every activity? You don't, though, do you? Why's that? If it's just a simulation all of the consequences of your actions are meaningless.

If there is anything "programmed" into humanity it is from an untold long period of evolution or the Creator. To lightly ignore either would be utterly foolish.
