What are the laws around the world on free speech? (being from the US it was always assumed)
Australia has no right to freedom of speech in it's constitution. We rely on the UN version with recent local caveats. There is a push to make it illegal to criticize Islam at the moment. So virtually if you say anything that someone takes offense to you could be in trouble.
Not very good. You can’t criticize Islam in the U.K. without feeling the heat of their establishment. China has a social credit system which is terrifying. One way to get your score lowered is criticizing the social credit system. Be happy you have the US constitution and be vigilant of politicians trying to get laws passed that bend or break your rights.
