Human reason, considered as a faculty, in the present state of man, is perfect in no one; but is much blinded, corrupted and prone to error; so that for the most part it more readily judgeth wrong than right; and that corruption arises not only from very early prejudices, from the passions, or from the habit of judging ill; but it cleaves inherently to the very faculty of the mind, from its earliest dawn: this comes to pass through the sin of Adam.
