Treason is defined in Federal law as giving aid and comfort to the enemy of the United States in time of war. The CCP declared war on the United States in 1949, and they have been waging it quietly in the shadows ever since. When Clinton, I speak of the Bill, was first running for president, a large contribution to his campaign was funneled through cut-outs from the CCP. During the reelection campaign he was caught accepting Chinese money and had to give it back. Hilary was upset that they had to return the money and make China lose face in the deal. Hilary supports China so strongly that she would send the United States into war with Russia to keep Putin from meddling in Chinese affairs, such as the annexation of Mongolia.
