If you can see the religious nature of the far-left then this is the group for you. We will intelligently discuss (not bash) this new secular religion.
Hi folks. I've been analyzing this cult-like following for about a year now. I was a long-time SJW after being indoctrinated into the cult in my Women's Studies degree. I also got an MA in Sociology of Religion, so when I left the left I was able to see the religious nature of this far-left following. Here is my take on it so far. I'd love to hear your thoughts as well.
I would submit that SJWs (storm troopers of the left) do not fight their opponents so much as they violently ATTACK their opposition on sight.
Socialism and Communism are the doctrines that form the basic foundation - the very gospel of collectivism that is also the one true god - the very object they worship. It is interesting and a bit paradoxical that SJWs are so very ready and willing to destroy and to kill non-believers yet they show no apparent willingness to sacrifice themselves in the name of their god.
very well developed and delivered talk - I loved the background music too! just joined your group.
IMHO Christian people are adopting the SJW orthodoxy because of its basic amoral/secularist value system Christian faith requires or at least asks followers to sacrifice much in worship to God. Pride, lust, commitment to vows of marriage, celibacy, holy orders, rejection of impulses to greed and envy. In Christian teaching these things are sinful and are to be resisted and in failing to live up to those demands the Christian faithful must confess their sin and do penance and of course promise to do better going forward. Secular humanism is much more attractive to those who are unable and unwilling to live up to those demands.
