Russia is indiscriminately shelling civilians. Chances are that they don't intend to rule benevolently.
So I guess we just make stuff up now? There is no Ukraine army left. They are surrounded and blocked off from resupply or maneuverability. The best the Ukraine resistance can do now is pin-prick attacks and hiding.
Can you imagine getting reports back from Iraq that the Republican guard has cornered and wiped out an American battalion? Would you believe it?
