Scientology has had a bad rap, but this interview shows that Hubbard is not so different from what Peterson says. Before current psychology. Quite interesting! Man is basically good!
The more difficult it is to describe a philosophy, the less credible it is. Hubbard describes Scientology as difficult to describe as the Encyclopedia Britannica.
Scientology denies human frailty, and denies the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. That renders Scientology a philosophy of similar value as other philosophies, and indifferent to eternal salvation. Scientologists believe in reincarnation - making it not a science. Science is confirmation of theory with repeatable results. No evidence of reincarnation has ever been presented, and belief has been presented instead.
As an engineer and a severe skeptic, having studied philosophies and the Resurrection, I have come to believe the latter, and have no confidence in Scientology, except as a philosophy that contains some good advice. I think modern physics supports this conclusion. Unfortunately, Scientology plays into the human tendency toward self-delusion.
