Someone has put a bit of thought into this document thing.
Leaving the security of the Nation's secrets in the hands of the Executive branch, like the FBI or the Justice Department, or even the CIA or NSA, has proved unworkable.
National Security enforcement properly belongs in the Supreme Court, where a legal style organization would exist to investigate and prosecute violators in lower Federal courts.
Considering how the courts had become so political since FDR until Trump put so many Heritage Foundation members on the bench, do you really think that would be any better?
@FuzzyMarineVet Less political than Congress or the Executive, but nothing in politics is ever going to be foolproof - especially when the public is almost totally apathetic and letting their reps get away with anything they want. Its pretty much the only choice left. Agencies created like the FBI and CIA - theoretically overseen by the President, have effectively no oversight when a President like Biden is at the helm. The only thing worse would be Congress.
