My politcal compass puts me at mildly Libertarian Left. And I don't really like kayaking, but that was the only water sport option. I really really like sailing. Old wooden boats. and sailing. And small hidden anchorages, and swimming in clear water. And sensible people who don't take or give bullshit, but have great humour. And clever intelligent women. Sapiosexual? I suppose so.
I'm a parent of older teenage kids, one of which had a very traumatic and SKBU-heavy start in life. I've also just buried one of my last remaining relatives, so I'm feeling reflective and wistful.
