I voted for Biden. He was not high on my list of desired candidates but the majority of his policies I believe will help strengthen and I hope bring greater unity to America. The belief that Democrats are going to turn this country Communist reminds me of the 1950s McCarthy era red scare where millions of taxpayer dollars were spent and hundreds of people were labeled Communist with no evidence. While the far left is a relatively few (5% maybe) of Democrats they still are able to stir up trouble. The insistence of expecting the world to cater to a few individuals with identity issues is wasteful. The Democratic leadership has frozen in the 70s and 80s and needs replacement with a group of young, level-headed people who are more concerned with how to improve our lives than not hurting feelings. There are much more pressing problems in the world that deserve full attention.

No administration is perfect or ever will be, but on the whole I think Biden can do better. We need to rebuild our world leadership and respect that has been suffering a steep decline. I have no belief that a Biden administration will grow America overnight and there will be enormous opposition to him. It is a process that will take years of hard work focused on getting us to talk to each other again. I think our expectations of our leaders has been distorted by our entertainment where the hero rushes in, guns blazing, and makes everything utopia overnight.

Whether any candidate will serve a full term is not predictable.
