True! back in the day (middle late '80s I dated several women who were public school teachers. I asked them why they spent the time and money in pursuit of their MA pursuant to the PhD in edu...turned out that their goal was not so much erudition as it was reaching the highest possible - the highest limit of the public teacher pay scale. All of them had sufficient hours and had rec'd their MA / MS degrees + 20 and did not pursue the PhD because with the MA/MS and the hours toward the PhD they qualified for the maximum possible salary. The only thing lacking was their dissertations - only ones who submitted dissertations were those who were interested in School Administration positions.
If Jill Biden has that PhD I would be somewhat interested in knowing about her submitted dissertation and its peer review and ultimate acceptance. I am skeptical about its validity - did she write it herself? did she plagiarize? Is it truly a scholarly submission? I am pretty sure that very much like B Obamas college transcripts, we shall never know if Jill Biden deserves that PhD. But hey - Whoopie Goldberg ...well, just listen to this embarrassing little nugget from one of the truly dumbest people ...ever
