JD explains why Dr. Masters is wrong and Dr. MacArthur is right, and encourages listeners not to look at the Scripture through the lens of a peasant, serf, or slave.

I also agree that Macarthur is right on this issue and that Masters is wrong, but, as usual, I'm not all that impressed with some of the things J.D. says. He is usually right about important issues, but he often makes what I consider to be somewhat extreme statements or straw men characterizations.

I agree with your statement. Another problem he has is his eschatology. But if R.C. could put up with him, I can. LOL

@lawrenceblair I don't know what his eschatology is.

@KeithThroop Dispensationalism. Other than that he seems to be reformed. A few years ago I attended a Baptist church that was pastored by a graduate of his seminary; definitely pretrib, but was able to teach expository sermons most of the time and leave his pretrib garbage out of it. Unfortunately the members of the church were not so disposed. I had to leave; though I loved the pastors preaching I never felt welcomed by the congregation. You know the thing; if you don't believe in pretrib and worship the state of Israel you ain't really believing Jesus and you ain't a Christian.

@lawrenceblair Although I am an Historic Premillennialist myself -- in the vein of, say, a Charles Spurgeon -- I also strongly disagree with Dispensational theology.
