While the author of this atticle raised a good point, due to the personal nature of the topic I must disagree with him, and yes I do consider myself a libertarian. The government does not belong meddling in personal affairs regardless if money is involved, and so far all the laws on the books have been unsuccessful at curbing prostitution. It's for the same reason I'm opposed to gun control legislation, as those with ill intentions have no regard for the laws. With that said, that doesn't automatically mean I favor prostitution, my point is that every citizen cannot be monitored 24/7 over such, so I think it's pointless to keep it illegal.

Prostitution is a subjective definition..but aren't they all..I've seen a lot of disperportionatly hot women date nerdy guys for just a few weeks or months deliberatly for benefits and then dump them in the coldest fashion..In the meanwhile, the guy would buy her dinners on all dates, pay for everything all the way..Put gas in her car, buy her clothes and jewelry, pay some of her bills, ect, ect...I can already hear the pushback..This is why I don't like to comment.

Well, chances are pretty good you won't receive alot of pushback on this site...

@SpikeTalon Whew- 🙂 good! Hopefully that's true, because I don't like to argue or debate about unprovable matters..It tires me out.. and mostly because I am a victim of not being capable of backing down from unprovoked aggression.

There’s no valid reason for prostitution to be illegal as it’s been around for thousands of years and there’s no way you can stop it and it’s idiotic to even try to stop it . It should be legal and taxed and regulated just like it is in a lot of Europe.

I would definitely be agreeable to making living off the avails of prostitution illegal, Pimping, because of the link between prostitution and human trafficking. Especially the exploitation of young girls and boys who have suffered abuse prior and thus make good recruits for predatory men and women.
Plus prostitution is a form of slavery that shouldn't be facilitated by excluding it from society's disapproval.

Don't tax them titties #TiT

@Rus-T-Balls ?????

@Harleyman yes what the question is

I agree - the problem in Nevada, and the US in general, is the government taxing the shit out of everyone and everything. The difference is, in Nevada, women and men are not jailed for being sexual women and men, which I think is a good thing. I think we need to let people be adults and worry about themselve

I have to agree with you on this one SpikeTalon. The author does make some compelling points but at the end of the day, government should not be "meddling" in our lives. I have a hard time believing that prostitution would suddenly become an option for many, simply because it is legal, just as I doubt that many would choose to be junkies ,were drugs legal. As you said, I by no means am in favor of, or condone either of those things.I do however ,believe that it's the right of any adult individual to live their life how they see fit, barring they do not infringe on another's rights.

Everyone should be free to make their own decisions... and I will use my freedom to avoid prostitutes.

@SpikeTalon Wise man!
