Please don't confuse the words I say, and my intent, for the way it makes you feel. When I intend to offend or insult you it will not be veiled or subtle, it's not the way I operate.

Since I don't often intentionally offend, insult or abuse folks anywhere, then I don't even worry much about the idea of subtlety or nuance in that direction, but I otherwise agree with the sentiment: when it's intended, oh, no one would then have any doubt of my intent to offend and insult.

On the other hand, though, one does tire of people either stupidly, ignorantly or maliciously reading "bad intent" (or even just "intent that was other than stated" ) in a perfectly clear and non-charged statement.

Frédéric Bastiat had the right of it when he said that some people confuse the refusal to demand the government's doing a thing with an opposition to the thing itself. So when I go on - as I sometimes do - about the idea that the government should not mandate or guarantee old-age pensions (for one example), one shouldn't read into that statement the idea that I do not support old-age pensions or guarantees that they be paid.

I try to be clear, but some readers can't keep up. It's a problem.

i found myself in an infuriating repeated loop where observing a conversation pattern some individual seemed unable to veer from.
i countered a statement an individual made, with verifiable first hand testimony. and that led them to demand i produce said testimony, when i suggested that its a healthier mental exercise to find the answer based off the the cited first hand testimony for themselves, it triggered an emotional response i wasnt sure how or why i was encountering it. i realized that a firmly stated opinions or even facts that challenge someones core beliefs, are being internalized as an attack on an individual personally, i have to believe it comes from identity politics, i was accused of all manner of whatevers by stating verifiable facts
