Most of us are aware of the Media manipulation that has gotten much worse in the past 6 years or so, and also that our schools are producing more socialist indoctrinated students.

Some of us are aware of the history of use of mind-control by government on its citizens and on POWs (MKUltra in US, and Korean brain-washing used on US prisoners for example).
[history.com]

What is your opinion on US use of propaganda and mind-manipulation on US citizens? Does it exist or is this nutty conspiracy theory?
If it exists, are they able to make some people commit crimes or acts, or be used as patsies?

How big is the psy-ops use against US citizens?
[goarmy.com]
Is it just US Army that uses it against other nations? Or do orgs like Tavistock, Stanford Institute, and Columbia U actually primarily target primarily US at the present time?

Addiction to social media among younger people is rampant and the attitudes engendered therefrom is a danger to our American way of life. Additionally, the left-leaning bias in our schools seems geared toward raising a population of good little consumers that will swallow whole whatever mental pablum is fed to them. Critical thinking seems to be eschewed by the educational system as a whole. It is a slippery slope and I don't know what will keep a majority of us from ultimately sliding down it.

It does exist. It is driving the division in the world today. I turned off the MSM a couple years ago and it was very enlightening. Truth seems to appear out of the haze whenever you step away from the fog machine. I turn on the news now and get angry within 5 minutes. It just isn't worth it.

Scientific American just ran an article on the effectiveness of psy ops, via 5G network frequency. It’s an interesting read, to say the least.

I wouldn’t say the younger generation is being technically brainwashed by social media, per se, but rather being primed for it. Generation Z has all but lost its ability to generate personal value or self worth, without consulting the social media gods. They’re solely dependent on “likes” or “followers” and regularly resort to their tech-life-bubbles for boosts in self confidence. Lack of that stimuli opens up the same withdrawal-like chemical triggers that addicts experience, going through detox. A mind so dependent on electronic emotional stimulus is even more open to suggestive propaganda, in order to obtain their fix.

Yes, a frightening addition to the old methods--and perhaps the most effective.

We are seeing an intensified emphasis on sensory stimulation . As we called it 40 years ago , "getting the flesh jumping " .

Yes, it does exist and its moderately effective. I think what Yuri Bezmanov describe as ideological subversion is what is used to establish biases in peoples mind, they can out right brain wash them because they don't have the time, but they can instill misconceptions on a daily basis.

I agree that the propaganda machine has been active for quite some time and I think in recent years it has become more obvious due to social media. The internet is a double edged sword. On the one hand we have access to information and can do research on our own. That works for those of us who attempt to fact check. On the other hand, many take the things that pop up on their feed as gospel, not unlike how our kids who take what they are taught in school to be factual.Honestly, it's gotten so bad that I have to wonder, even in fact checking, are we being fed inaccurate information full of bias and spin? Hard to know for sure, sochecking many sources is the best we have i suppose..

The Internet is totally under the control of TPTB. The recent censorship of conservative/Libertarian views on Youtube and Twitter to the refusal to allow numerous Cons/Libertarian orgs to utilize PayPal and Patreon for receiving payments is a clear example of some of the things of which the OP is about.

@MarPep I believe that is the very reason Jordan Peterson and others pulled out of Patreon.

That access information is gradually being censored. Many documents and videos formerly available have disappeared.

Changing History is much easier with the internet than with published books--just a simple click or too and it is gone. Books had to be burned.

@MarPep True story!

The answer to your first question is yes and no. Did those programs exist, yes. Were they anything even remotely like what half the people who talk about them say they are? Not likely. As in not likely at all. The idea that you can turn a normal person into someone who will commit a mass murder without any conscious input and no resistance on their part is a claim that would win you a James Randy prize, should you make good on it.

Your second question is much more complicated. You need to define what you mean by “psy-ops.” If you mean strictly programs used by the United States government on its own citizens, probably not that big. If you include media and advertising companies trying to manufacture opinion, absolutely massive, nearly beyond quantification. But, at that point, do you also include the used car salesman trying to sell you a car as a “psy-op?”

About the car sales man, I think your probably could call that like a civil psy-op haha.

I wonder if it has gotten worse in the last 6 years or if we've become more aware of it. The Philadelphia Inquirer, as long as I remember, has been unreadable due to its left leaning list. Now, there are plenty of voices calling out the propaganda and providing options.

The use of American media by Government to influence the masses was illegal under the Smith-Mundt Act of 1948. However, that Act was essentially repealed when Obama signed the 2012 NDAA into law. The propaganda and manipulation no longer needs to be hidden quite as much.

I suppose there are degrees of brainwashing or indoctrination but I certainly believe that our public schools and colleges are indoctrinating our youth into a leftist way of thinking. A perfect example is the kids who were out marching for action on the environment and specifically climate change. They think they know something. 99.9% of them know very little of the science but have been told that there is climate change, that it’s a man caused and that we must do something soon or we will all die. They believe it all and sadly many of them are truly concerned, depressed and are demanding action on a subject which they know very little about, This same generation is anti-male, white, Christian, capitalism, traditional values and America because they have been indoctrinated into believing that all of these things are bad.

Truth!

If brain-washing is defined as using techniques that arrange a person's thinking to the point that they are willing to fight for something that is alien to their culture and alien to logical thought--then many of our youth are already brain-washed--but then so are plenty of older folks.

There are many examples of U.S. propaganda , false flag events , emotional manipulation and other forms of mind control . I won't begin to list them, here . As a short timeline , the period from the sinking ingredients of the Maine , to Pearl Harbor , the fabricated wars of recent history , we have the highlights of yellow journalism .

I suspect that the mass murders and high profile murders may often be manipulation/false-flags and often with patsies that are either killed (like LHO and perhaps the kid/alleged-perp in NewTown) or appear to be drugged --like the Aurora "shooter" James Holmes, or just a manipulated nut-case like Jared Lee Loughner (Gabby Giffords and Judge shooting). The gun-control agenda is a top priority for globalists.

@MarPep Whether orchestrated by Globalists or not , they milk it for all it's worth .
