Common core has been a peeve of mine for a while. This is one of the first articles I have found that speaks the truth as I know it. [thefederalist.com]
Common core, along with many other issues, was one of the reasons we decided to homeschool. My sister in law is a public school teacher and will defend common core till she passes out, but she is always amazed at my children's academic progress. She just writes it off to big classrooms vs. one on one education. Even though there's multiple teachers and helpers in classrooms nowadays. When I was growing up we had big classes and one teacher, that's it.
Good read, and The Federalist is an excellent site.
