New Here

I signed up here out of curiosity. There are other platforms that are promoted as free speech advocates (Minds, Gab etc.) so I'm interested to know how this one differs. The layout looks good and I look forward to see how it functions.

How is this place different from and/or better than other free speech platforms?

As a freethinker, I examine as many aspects of an issue as possible and more importantly, am willing to change my mind if new information is compelling enough. So I am hoping to encounter thoughtful individuals with interesting ideas.

Lastly, I am in Canada so, while the world in general is of course important, I am focused on the situation in my own back yard.

I am pleased to be here and look forward to participating.

US born and Canadian (Dual Citizen)... So I have a stake in BOTH back yards. Welcome! 😉

What I've seen here is that people actually discuss and debate "things" that you would never see on Facebook or Twitter without someone getting banned. Though there is a "Report" action, the class of people here seems to be those that are less inclined to get "butt hurt" and more inclined to keep scrolling, walk away or, better yet, talk it out.

The rules, as I interpret them, comes down to one simple thing: "Don't be a dick..."

If you can do that, you shouldn't have a problem here.
