Most phones come with Google pre-installed. Google is not just EVERYWHERE but it's now the Default.

Big tech should move away from this practice if they are to survive the massive change occuring Globally.

I downloaded #duckduckgo & make a point to diversify how I search for information online because I noticed that we are being pushed to all use the same platforms...the same things, to come to same answers/conclusions & eventually the same convictions/beliefs.

Group think is wrong folks & pushing it on consumers this way is "Fascism in a sun dress" as one person recently described it on IDW. Make an effort to keep your mind free of the bias they are quietly feeding us by FORCE (because we have placed trust where it doesn't belong).

Note: First picture is from DuckDuckGo second and third are from Google.

Android and Chrome cripple your ability to compile and run your own programs (python, for example).
Additionally, they control the App market.

A 1990 DEC Station is more useful for computational physics than a 2020 Chromebook,
because of the operating system.

An Android device is capable of being a supercomputer.

The other day, my 14 year old step grandson decides he's going to attack the Catholic Church to me because I'm Catholic. After he watched Joe Rogan, yes that Joe Rogan, he tells me that the Catholic Church (all churches) are cults. I laughed and told him he hasn't a clue what a cult is. He pressed me on a definition, so I gave him the traditional definition of a group that requires its members to obey its laws/rules by force. A rudimentary definition.

He pulls out his Android phone and says, "hey Google, what's the definition of a cult?" Any guesses as to what Google assistant barfed out? If you guessed it said all religions are cults, you'd be right.

They are literally changing the world we live in with their anti-Christian bias. I've seen many other examples of their leftist agenda. I refuse to use Google assistant, use Alexa, or any other mainstream device like these. I ditched Google search engine right after this incident. Duckduckgo is now my go to search provider. I'll be using it and dogpile from now on. Btw, I no longer like Joe Rogan. I listened to his idiocy on religions being cults as my grandson had it on the TV.

Dogpile has been around for ever, too. Metasearching is really the way to go with anything these days.

Timely post! I just finished watching a documentary ‘The Creepy Line’. Someone else on IDW posted about it and I’m glad they did. Watch it if you want more insight into Google and how they use data. It was very eye opening for me. www.thecreepyline.com

You have a good point. I have been using the G site as my default, and using DDG as a backup when G doesn't find what I need. I should proably switch my default.

SYMBOLISM is everywhere we just don't realize it because were don't know the symbols and there meaning, and some symbols have been hijacked to mean different things. Pedophilia symbols are very common on clothing jewelry rugs dishes baby clothes toys ect.

What i find interesting is in 2008 Google launched chrome then in 2009 changed it to adreno
If you put the w together you get adrenochrome
This is the drrug produced in children though fear from Rape turture and rutiral sacurfice that is ectacted from drinking blood and the pineal gland. So are they advertising/ desitizing us to what is being done?

Instead of resisting, or not using Google products, we can use free Google products to undermine their bias. I'm doing it here & now. We simply have to continue spreading the facts. With enough people awakening to the facts, their bias will be counter balanced. This is the principle of using your opponents force against them, as in Judo.

I switched to DuckDuckGo just now. Thanks for the enlightenment.

Very interesting, I've been using duckgo, but I will pay more attention. I'm always searching word meanings. That is a very dramatic difference in meaning..

Well it depends on how you look at it. Google I would assume makes most of their money from the analytics from their users and the advertising opportunities that they provide from their platforms. We get in essence "free" stuff out of it. I never have had to pay for an update. We use technology every day with some understanding that there must be a cost to using "free" services like Google's search engine. If you aren't happy paying their price it is concerning that there are no viable alternatives from using the Google ecosystem. In short, free stuff isnt free but so far it's a good deal as Google mostly is a better steward than majority of other companies but time will tell if this stays that way. Hard to tell.

To quote General Patton...if everyone is thinking alike, then somebody isn’t thinking. I also switched over to DuckDuckGo and try to stay away from Google products.

I miss the old days when you could do a meta search and the first two pages of results were high-value and concise. Then there came “search engine optimization” (SEO), which essentially turned results that you wanted to see into results that they wanted you to see. And I’ve despised Silicon Valley ever since.

I'm not sure I agree they are feeding us anything by "force" when we volunteer to use their service or not, but I do think it's good to get away from their social engineering for reasons you addressed.

Is that why apps created by conservatives (like gab) are not even an option on Google play? What is the browser on your phone & computer when bought? What options were presented to you before hand? And how easy is it to work with a phone or a computer that is not Google friendly? I can tell you from personal experience it is damn hard as everything has to be Google friendly to run smooth.

Dig deeper & pay closer attention & You will see the way we are being manipulated.

I did a Google search about a vacation i was considering for my wife and I. The next day she had information about the vacation appear on her face book. I don't have a FB account. What if I was planning a surprise for my wife, FB just tipped her off. And you think "they" are not tracking searches and thoughts/comments.

@OneGodlessWoman I think you are making great points. I am just not sure that they are "forcing" their bias upon us. I'm not disagreeing with the valid problem you've identified, I am just not sure a vendor providing services that include their bias is forcing their bias upon us since we voluntarily choose to purchase and use their product or service.

@WingedRyno bias... Forcing... Do we know their true intentions?

@OneGodlessWoman I'm going to come across as a moon bat conspiracy freak--- but fifteen years ago, I stopped watching everything on TV for the exact same reason--- the Clinton administration was paying TV studios for including the proper sort of content in their script writing.... I don't like being manipulated..

This is not good

Tech monopolies love proprietary software. Makes jailbreaking more fun.

3

Over the years I've found some decent alternatives to the pre-installed Google apps, and use a third party package disabler to disable said Google apps.

Have any links or recommendations to go along with that?

@jneedler Package Disabler Pro, Armorfly Browser, Aptoide App Store to name a few.
