The time has come to defend Western culture and civilization against the attacks made by both the Left and the Right, because they tear away at the very essence, the very core, of our society, our culture, our sense of community, our priorities, our values and ethical systems; values that have proven over time to be open, forward thinking, and inquisitive. Here are the wise words of the late and great journalist, George Jonas. “Don’t let Western civilization—the best and most humane form of civilization developed by mankind—perish by default.” From Back to the Ethic: Reclaiming Western Values.[amazon.com]

"Anne Applebaum is a writer of history books, a professor at the London School of Economics, and a columnist with The Washington Post. She’s also someone who’s worried that the Western world is losing not just a sense of unity, of shared task and purpose among the many nations that make up the Western bloc, but also a belief in the very things that defined the West — democracy, the rule of law, and pluralism. It’s happening in the United States right now, she fears. And it’s already happened — past tense — in parts of Europe...But fundamentally, Applebaum worries, what we’re really fighting is the passage of time. We’re increasingly removed from the victories and shared needs that once united the Western world. Our recent track record is littered with costly failures. Even in Eastern Europe, she says, we now have a generation of adults who have no living memories of the horrors and failures of communism."

I worry, too. But there is a solution to this. It is called education; the need to learn the origin of our freedoms and rights, as well as responsibilities. They have accepted the teachings of Franz Boas that all cultures are equal. They are not. You cannot protect and defend what you do not know and our younger people, raised in a rather peaceful times, have lost their moorings to their inheritance They have become apathetic and entitled. And that is dangerous in a democracy.

A nice thought. However, the United States has a Party that has been more vocal about their agenda to dismantle -- even do away with -- the very document our Constitutional Republic was built on. Our public schools and Universities have become indoctrination centers. Our media has full-on ramped up the propaganda machine, peddling falsehood to the ignorant masses. Our flag... our pledge... our National Anthem... they all have no meaning to those who could care less about the blood that was spilled and the lives lost to protect them.
America is in dire straits. Those of us who love and remember our Nation as it once was can no longer remain silent. We can no longer afford to be apathetic. We are literally one election away from either becoming a stronger Constitutional Republic, or a socialist shit-hole. So we best get off our asses and start making some noise.
