Wow... This 1995 Interview is a trip! Camille Paglia, one of my favorite intellectuals really is a hoot. Listen to this Charlie Rose interview that was recorded not long after she finally found her way into the spotlight.

Too bad she has not been able to win the war she has set out to conquer, but she is still in the battle.

What do you think of her position on date rape?
Why isnt her empowering message to women the feminism of today?

I fully agree with Camille’s position on date rape. I don’t think her message resonates with today’s feminists as it doesn’t embrace a victim mentality. She doesn’t make excuses for women or pretend that women’s lives are more difficult now than at any other time in history. I liked her critique of Sherl Sandberg, calling her “insufferably smug” and that her book about women in the workplace was “dishonest”.
