I don't think people really have a grasp of just how close we were to loosing it all.
Our representative republic is the greatest thing to ever happen to mankind in all of human history. ( Even with our faults) And not discounting Jesus.
But it is eminently fragile and must be constantly monitored for fractures.
It has always been my contention that with the creation of the Patriot act, the FISA court, and the office of home land security.
All of the tools needed for a tyrannical regime to take control was in effect.
The only thing missing was the will to do it.
Well that will was engaged in 2016. The only thing that stopped them was US and Donald J Trump.
Period.
But the fight is not over. The last 4 years have just been round one.

The other part I agree with, repeal and destroy the Patriot act, ICE, Home land Security (who clearly aren't doing their jobs if they need military back up at the border), and the NSA. Together we can undo the legacy of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. We all need to elect more people who don't bother with regime change in other countries. Really sick of that. Though I do content that if America gets to decide a country's leader, the people of that country should have some say in our leaders.

I agree, Trump is nothing more than the alarm to be reacted too.
His role more than any other is to expose the true face of the left so that those on the right who ascribe the left as a group to be negotiated with to get the best deal you can.
Need that hard slap in the face.
This is a war for our survival. Not just a interlude between business as usual.
After Trump it will be up to us to vote in fighters. Jeff Flake need not apply.
The damage has been devistating By the grace of God and the leadership of our great president, we will have our nation back God Bless America!
