This week in censorship news...
It sounds reasonable, civilized even, but I can’t help wondering:
Is it my imagination, or are governments worldwide imposing more and more restrictions on internet freedom on an almost daily basis?
I find it interesting that there has been very little talk about the terrorist that received their training in a mosque that was shot up. Or, the reasons the shooter gave (how ever crazy). Also does this ban include "justifiable homicide" I.E. police taking down a bad guy??? And, who among us has the right/ intelligence to make these calls?
That is a great point! Are police shootings going to be hidden from prying eyes, now? If a bystander videos an unarmed suspect being gunned down by overzealous cops, will the public ever know?
@WorldSigh I don't know about the current batch of LEO, but in my day, I don't recall any UNARMED suspects being shot by and officer and there were 1.5 million citizens in my jurisdiction. I worked with one cop that murdered his informant and got a Life sentence for his trouble, but that is another story.
Yes, I feel it, and its very alarming...I'm feeling we are losing our future, it will be very different from how we grew up. Shameful and shocking!
The governments of Australia and New Zealand must be fans of Saul Alinsky: "Never let a good crisis go to waste."! There seems to be an endless parade of "disasters", justifying a growing list of former freedoms. Unfortunately, to future generations oppression will be the new normal.
It already is.
