The anti-Trumpers are bragging about duping people. No wonder so many Americans believe they paid more in taxes than they actually did. Most Americans got tax cuts, but too many blockheads actually think that tax refunds at the end of the fiscal year are the ONLY measure by which to determine how much taxes you paid and how much you're getting back. Trump should have withheld the same amount throughout the year and then given bigger refunds at the end.
I LOATHE those propaganda tactics. They have no faith in their fellow man, no faith in their argument and no faith in reality itself working without their help.
Not good logic. . . . If you get a big refund, you either had unplanned expenses (maybe health wise) or you over withheld so in effect you loaned the government your money at zero interest.
Sure, but if only 17% of Americans realize they got a tax cut, and the rest think they didn't (because they didn't get a refund), then they're not too bright and perhaps the best way to deal with them is using their own logic....withdraw more and give them a refund. I don't mean it seriously, of course. I'm trying to emphasize the illogical conclusion that many reach by looking at refunds alone.
