Problem: I have an Intel gaming tower desktop computer that had been running the latest stable version of Ubuntu Linux, that is until the latest OS update from the US Ubuntu archive. Since then whenever the OS loads I lose all USB ports, which means no keyboard or mouse. Because I cannot log in without the keyboard I am unable to work on the problem from within Ubuntu. All I have is this nearly useless ChromeBook with which to serf the net.
Plea: Does anyone know of a solution to the dilemma?
