This is a great video about that shooting over in New Zealand. I highly recommend this and part 2.

And that video about the alt-right at Charlottesville.

Sorry for not posting part 2 earlier.

I watched both video's... and I started to write a comment that started with "Bullshit..." Because of my IDW level I was offered a opportunity to approve or disapprove the 2nd video. I almost did disapprove it.

Then I realized that I had just watched a masterful presentation. The best example of indoctrination I had ever witnessed. Some smart people put this together. Some very smart and dangerous people.

It's overreaching message is dissent is evil.

The videos equate the feelings you get or the thinking you have to do when your hear something that conflicts with your current world view with harm. That the very fact the new information does not support your opinion is what makes it wrong. And here's a list of the people that do this to you. And we need to stop listening to ideas that make us question things.

It as if someone says: Here's an interest thought. If that thought doesn't align with your current thinking then it is causing harm to you therefore you shouldn't listen it. If you do listen to it, you are a racist, misogynist, or white supremacist or at least starting down the road to these things

The primary video uses scientific sounding words and phrases to weave a demonic intent into the sharing of information/ideas/opinions that must be avoided if you are to avoid the pain it causes. The second proffers a list of people that are doing this evil, even if they don't realize it.

So I didn't disapprove the comment. I learned that the game is being taken to the next level, which is new information(at least for me) and therefore the video has value.

The premise herein is easily rebutted but its obfuscation is not so easy to clear away. The rebuttal: TRUTH.

Truth is usually unpleasant but finding it is the mission. Reject ideas - not the creation of them. All progress comes from new ideas.

"They" have the education system locked down. Our young people are being taught WHAT to think, not HOW to think. If we can just keep them from learning new ideas with all the other dependencies we've established, they will remain compliant.

God this was hard to articulate. I hope my message get through.

Agreed. It was some pretentious crap. An imagined journey through the looking glass into the sinister alt-right and the epiphany that brought him back to the sanity of progressive thinking. Complete pap from a pretend former lib fallen from grace into the dark depths of conservatism and then finding the light by listening instead to a list of other people he thinks you should listen to so you can learn how to fight wrongspeak and anti hive mind.

I don't think dissent is evil is the guy's message considering how many of his videos are about undermining capitalism. It's about how not questioning certain jokes and attitudes can lead to horrible violence.

Also the Faraday video reminds me to research more about marketing. The marketing funnel he talks about is an interesting concept.

As for some of the bigger words, would it help if he had replaced stochastic terrorism with lone wolf terrorism?

@criminey359 The problem to me is that he's presenting social theory in declarative sentences as though they're "True," when in fact much of his chain of thought relies on speculations within the social justice movement that are both unverified and unfalsifiable. This exactly the sort of stuff that's fueling "alt-right" movement in the first place. In his second part, his whole argument about horizontal and secondary control structures intended to deplatform ideas and those who speak them is the major reason IDW even exists. Control of language in order to control thought is classic SJW tactics, and his video is damned near a flawless execution of the emancipation doctrine espoused among the SJW intelligencia.

The Faraday Speaks video. Great stuff, can't recommend it enough. I'm looking forward to more of this guy's work.
