Many people believe the politically correct HIPAA absolute requirements have gone too far, both for good medical practice, and regarding oversight. Clearly the CDC is hiding behind employee protection to block sharing information about VAERS, and the consistency of their tone leads me to suspect that this was the original intent: to do as they please politically, confident that they would be shielded from FOIA requests.

It has never been more important to write to your Congress reps and the President to give HIPAA another look, with special attention about to how to oversee the CDC.

With increased public pressure, the Deep State will be forced to act with less impunity, and the CDC will probably retire a bunch of people as they realize that they can no longer operate with political authority, outside of their mandate.

It has never been more important to examine any agency that has effectively no oversight.
