Having genuinely given veganism a try, and still living the consequences, I can make an informed guess that the above meal probably does taste like lobster to those no longer with sufficient B-12 in their systems to operate their olfactory and taste cells - among other things, including cognitive decline.
Proponents of veganism should remember that the only sources of B-12 are meat and eggs. If they are added as supplements to cereal and other foods, they still come from mostly meat. Sorry.
Humans are made omniverous. Only those so unfortunate as to be denied meat for medical reasons should risk their lives with veganism. However, I defend everyone's right to choose whatever course they wish, no matter how risky, as long as they are informed.
