Why Libertarian-leaning Reps Massie and Amash voted against the House's anti-lynching bill-
[reason.com]
No matter what side you may take on this, personally speaking I see no correlation between race and lynchings, as plenty of caucasian individuals were hung in the past.
So what? The Dempublicans just passed a bill making lynching "extra special illegal"? I hope congress and the senate don't sprain their wrists with all the virtue signaling. It's a totally redundant law just stacking on charges for extra-racial crimes (ie...crimes against a race the criminal is not a part of.) Since well over 90% of crime is white on white/black on black/hispanic on hispanic etc etc...it's also pretty pointless. And unless you ASSUME that 90% of crime was done for profit or out of avarice and 10% is done out of racism..that's just stupid. Among the extra-racial crime (about 9% of all crime) the crimes are typically done for exactly the same reason they are committed against people within your race.
Conclusion...we're all screwed. Truly screwed by virtue signaling rodents who will never fix the problem because victimhood is all the rage.
In their opinion, it's hep these days to be a victim. We are all screwed...
ANd it's not like anyone caught lynching another person, regardless of race, will not have applicable charges brought against them for their action. THis is nothing more than a federal over reach of authority they plan on using against the people in the future.
I concur.
