If a universal morality does not exist, how do you define rational thought?

What do you define as "Universal Morality"? And how does it have any bearing on the definition of rational thought?

The laws of physics are amoral.
A planet cannot choose it's path around the sun.

Free will determines whether morality exists.

Anything that improves the life of every living thing can be considered the ultimate good. 1.
Anything that injures/destroys the life of every living thing can be considered the ultimate bad. 0.

To be rational implies the ability to discern the best/logical choice.

e.g.
In NYC, it's rational to put clothes on to go shopping.
In the Amazon, it's irrational to put clothes on to go shopping.

Do you see what I mean?

Rational thought is determined through observations on as to what exactly constitutes collective reality, and experiences and interactions with fellow human beings. In order for a specific stance to be considered rational, there must be some sort of hard evidence to defend said stance, otherwise there would be no rational or reasonable obligation to take seriously any claims made. For example... if someone were to claim that if they stayed under water until they ran out of air and thus would drown, that would be a rational claim. On the other hand, if someone tried to claim they could stay under water indefinitely without the aid of any external source such as SCUBA gear, that claim would be irrational. Evidence combined with observations (on reality that is) allow human beings to arrive to rational thought minus a universal morality.

As for the other post you invited me to, I'm not a member in that group and generally don't post or comment in groups that I'm not a member in, and actually most groups are closed meaning you'd have to be a member first before posting.

Thank you for the IDW culture lesson.

I'm brand new here, I developed an algorithm in the shallow pond of facebook to determine rational thought.

I've found that at the bottom of every single rabbit hole of argument lies the following question:

Do you believe that principles existed before practice?

Regardless if you are aware of it or not, whether that bit is a one or a zero determines every conclusion you reach.

My algorithm is impenetrable from my experience, I'm looking for a bigger brain than mine to vet it.

I think this is the right place to do it.

Are you interested or do you know anyone who is?

Additionally, I created a logic/math that can define a universal morality, appropriate for the ideological realm of the internet.

It's the paradigm shift necessary for a multicultural, online society.

It provides a straightedge with no marks.

Each individual has their own opinion of morality, but in public they are swayed by the opinions of others.

We will see an average morality emerge on any given topic, it is infinitely adjustable.

@Supra_Librix I think you came to the right place, a good start may be to explore some of the groups on here. If you don't come across one that matches your interest, once level four is achieved you could start your own group.

I certainly agree with your observation on how people are swayed by the opinions of others when out in public, and at one point considered doing a post addressing such.

@SpikeTalon I'd love to collaborate, I'm working on a syllabus, do you have any experience in Academia?

It's a whole theory describing human behavior, if you read the Foundation series by Asimov, it's like Psychohistory.

Got some deep implications, lots of ideas to fix the cultural divide for the better.

@Supra_Librix I've no experience in Academia, but by all means do share on the public feeds any ideas you have.

@SpikeTalon Great, I appreciate any input, welcome criticism and challenge.

I've got a facebook page going, I'm working with a psychologist and astrophysicist @jaymaron trying to push it into the consciousness of the net, lots of big ideas and paths to straighten out the massive corruption and cultural schism we see.
