The type of cyber crime my friend from Bangladesh describes in this article, DDoS attack (Distributed Denial of Service) crashes and disables websites by overwhelming them with malicious traffic from thousands of hosts. This is not a denial of service by a tech platform, but a crime perpetrated by cartels and governments. The author, Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury, is the publishing editor of Weekly Blitz, the first and only anti-jihadist publication in the Islamic world. The articles which led to this attack were about pay-for-play pseudo-citizenship in the Dominican Republic (Dominica) and it is that government which has illegally taken down the Blitz website with continuous DDoS attacks since mid-November. Please read and distribute this informative piece and pray for my friend, Mr. Choudhury. #freespeech #cybercrime #DDoS

DDOS attacks are easily stopped these days. Governmental attacks are far more complicated.
It was the government of Dominica and took a month to restore the website.
