Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.Right, since the Constitution requires that the Chief Justice presides over a trial in the Senate, Chief Justice Roberts' refusal to do so sends the message that he clearly sees it as unconstitutional. Otherwise he would be there. He would have to be there.
