Sometimes I come here and I am overwhelmed by the number of posts, questions and polls
I noticed many of them only have one or two responses. What can we do to remedy that? Does this situation need a remedy?

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.We're working on ways to prioritize posts based on alignment with the site's mission. That is, the main page will have more generally relevant posts and the categories will have the rest.

What do you mean by “allignment with the sites mission”?
I think promoting relevant material is absolutely fine, but this sounds like it could be more like selective editing... 
@InternetDorkWeb nope... we just bump things we think people will like to read on the front page and the rest goes to the subcategories (unless you change settings).
