One form of lying is by omission. When you sugarcoat your words you omit the context and intensity. I don't like to lie and Jesus never did. I doubt the Pharisees were happy with the choice of words Jesus used.
I certainly agree with the point Jordan is making in that article. There is a time for a strong tone when confronting, especially when confronting damnable heresy.
