Democrats' $3.5 trillion spending package in jeopardy, with Pelosi appearing short on votes
The House speaker is facing opposition from nine moderate Democrats, enough to keep the measure from passing.
[Pelosi] told her conference in a letter over the weekend that passing the budget resolution [for the $3.5 trillion bill] this week was critical and that any delay threatens the timetable for delivering “the transformative vision that Democrats share,” according to the Associated Press.
