A Poll on Current Events

Lightning-fast communication was already available during the 60's and even earlier, yet news of catastrophes and calamities were not as frequently reported as they are now. Was it because logistics of news networks were insufficient then? Or are there really more catastrophic events that are happening now? Not a scientific poll, but just a matter of perception.

I would actually say, "Roughly the same number of catastrophic events. The reporting just got even more politically correct and more focused on supporting the false climate change narrative by trying to make it seem like there are more catastrophic events."
