Too funny. Darker in color than the ones I saw in Cuba, but the same size. To me, a northern gal, they were delightful to see. I don't know how you find it when they are common. Cute to a stranger may be a serious pest to those who live along side them. I'll take those over snakes any day
They're shy, and they cut into the mosquito and fly population.
@eschatologyguy Hubby and I figured they would feast on insects, that pesky mosquitos and flies are their gourmet delight is wonderful!
@toronto_Georgia they're a "protected species" in our education system (killing them is discouraged). But they have their own predators, usually smaller snakes and bigger lizards like the geko.
