The situation has gotten so tense, that families have resorted to taking out loans to pay for groceries using “buy now, pay later” (BNPL) apps according to the Daily Mail.

More and more retailers have begun supporting the option. Including Costco, Doordash, Safeway, and Starbucks.

When people need financing to buy milk and frozen pizzas, it points to extremely rough times ahead.

No one has learned from the mistakes of 2008.

Going into added debt will only put you deeper in the hole. Paying interest or late fees just makes the rich, richer. I remember in the 80's when things got really bad, we just learned to live within our means. No eating out and a lot of bologna sandwiches. Doordash and Starbucks? Good luck with that!
