I saw the tweet. We discussed it (small way) and the 'excuse' was that she liked or retweeted transphobic things rather than said them personally. I have often liked something I disagreed with because it made a point that I wanted to highlight.

Still. I disagreed with the general characterization of Rowling. I think she just tried to thread the needle in the middle of seeing both sides of the issue - pissing off both sides.
