Trying to rank what is most important, in a sense I think it is a mix of these and only 2 of them would seem that much to fight over which is more important but an interesting poll nonetheless.

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.I voted number 3, with the caveat that qualified, good people of any background that actually WANT to be Americans should be allowed in. We used to let scientists, engineers, inventors, entrepreneurs, and in general, creators of wealth of all kinds into this country. Everyone else needed sponsorship or had to wait.
The "Melting pot" effect was really more that talented people WANTED to be here, because this was the best place to be.
I think we could easily go back to that way. The USA is still, despite our recent outsider caused troubles, the best place to be. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

The Black Lives Matter distraction and civil rights in general often distracts us from the immigration problem. If no 1965 Celler Hart Act and a secure border our population would still be 80 to 85 percent White and this we would much better handle this BLM crap we deal with now.

This is a fair point; however, I will say this is not really a poll of false or irrelevant choices, just a way to think about some ideas that have been floating around. And while it's true that these issues, in and of themselves, are not the most core issues--as you correctly point out--it's also fair to say that our immigration policy was wrecked in the 1960s by leftists quite deliberately.

While I agree with you in principle, there are things which are possible to do, and things that can never be realistically accomplished. Changing birthrates is a good example, without tyranny.
There are other things that are not advisable at all, like abandoning the greatest concept of governance ever devised - as if it should be possible to change human nature by legislation, in favor of "some (unknown) alternative." That is some kind of naivete! And branding both Capitalism and Communism with the assumption of evil equivalence is as ignorant as one can get.
Socialism has been endlessly tried in the name of an alternative, in spite of having cost 100 million lives. That is what trying an unproven alternative usually does, when not "fixing" the best than be done to govern human nature, is the clear and obvious course.
The most breathtakingly dumb idea is Globalism. Accountability breaks down in larger agencies. Everyone knows that. Organizational studies endlessly prove it. So what fool thinks a global government can possibly be accountable or fair? Very wealthy people who have a lot of power and want more will love a Global government, because it will be far easier for them to buy it covertly, and your rights will disappear completely. Globalism is nothing more than returning to feudalism - like all of us but a few lords in castles are indentured slaves for the rest of our lives.
@TimTuolomne I couldn't agree more with you. My comment was about that I like the open debate format here. Even the trolls are more polite.
I think we could go back to a merit based immigration policy. That is not outside the realm of possibility. We used to get all the best scientists and such that way. We should continue doing that. Even then it was possible for regular people to legally emigrate here--they just had to want it badly because it took some work. But those that did it, were among our best citizens, generally. Many--like my parents--appreciated being here much more than people born here.
All four will happen when we have our own sovereign nation carved out of the corpse of America.
None of the four can happen without that.
