The truth behind renewable energy.
As an engineer, who can do the math, knows the facts of device efficiencies - theoretical and practical, I drive the most fuel efficient production car in the World. It is a non-hybrid gasoline engine vehicle that is a third the cost of a Prius and does not require a new $5000 battery pack every few years.
Those delusional idealists out there actually think I'm lying or exaggerating, or don't know what I'm talking about when I tell them I emit less carbon than their Prius, or any other hybrid, or especially a Tesla.
Anyone who can do the math can tell you that the fuel used to generate the power delivered to an outlet in your home and used to charge a Tesla results in around 38 MPG. My car routinely gets 60 MPG.
Some folks feel that just because someone tells them a battery car is better, or a hybrid, or solar electric panels, that it must be true.
As said Mark Twain, “It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so.”
Renewables, with the exception of geothermal and hydro-electric, do more harm than good to the environment.
