The problem is the reaction to allow them or blend in rather than everyone picking up fire extinguishers and putting out the proverbial fire. Weak human character is often the cause of many societal ills. Ironically, one side seeks to undermine character and individual responsibility hence the impressive failures when leftist ideology takes hold everywhere that it takes hold.

I do miss the old left. The anti establishment balanced the Regan Republican right pretty well. I miss those conversations. I think that’s the biggest appeal of the IDW. We can strive for better conversations and laugh out our own “sides” short comings.

At the end of the day, what matters is that neoliberalism continues unchecked.

@RMSPT -- Thinking back to 2008 (Hussein Obama v. McCain), quite a few of the democRATs were "about" as irrational as the ones we see today. The younger ones were often true communists and honestly believed that the reason communism had failed before was because the folks in weren't smart enough to make it work. They thought/thin that THEY are smart enough to make it work.
Same way the people complaining about voter fraud 3 weeks ago are now telling people interested in investigating voter fraud to shut up. They are after power, not principle.
It is instructional to recognize both directions of our changing perspectives.
