@torontogal4388 having studied bible prophecy over a good third part of my life, all that comes to mind at this point is "so this is how it all comes down." if you can get your hands on "The Coming Prince" by Sir Robert Anderson, get a copy. It tells how an obscure riddle of a prophecy in Daniel 9:25 was really talking about the date (April 6, 32AD) of the Triumphal Entry. Its all good as its all in hindsight. But there's another one which talks about the future reconciliation between the Messiah and the remnant of Israel. And it is arguably within our lifetimes. We're pretty close.

I found an online link once of the entire e-book, then it disappeared. Anderson was with the Scotland Yard in the late 1800s. Basically a self-taught theologian who is hailed today as the first to break the code of Daniel 9:25. The other "code" that talks about the Great Reconciliation (I like to capitalize an important event) is in Hosea 6:1-2. To my mind the "smiting" in the passage has to be the exact date when the 2nd temple came crashing down: Sept 6, 70AD, and therefore has to be the terminus a quo or the start date for the countdown. And it terminates in... I let people figure it out It's more fun making the discovery that way. You'll get another clue as to the length of the Jewish year in Anderson's book.
